Dr Danielle Anthony
Clinical & Health Psychologist
SIRA Accredited Clinician

Danielle has completed a Professional Doctorate in Clinical and Health Psychology after finishing an Honours degree in Psychology at the University of Newcastle. Danielle is passionate about the field of psychology, loves learning and finds joy in making a difference. She has 17 years experience in a range of areas such as PTSD, cPTSD, depression, anxiety and adjustment and has worked across public and private settings.

Based in Brookvale, Danielle brings both warmth and expertise to adults looking for psychological support to maximise living a meaningful life. She has a particular passion for clinical health psychology and believes that health encompasses both mental and physical health, understanding there is a strong interplay between the two. She enjoys working with those adjusting to acute accidents/injuries and with those experiencing chronic illness including cancer, cystic fibrosis and diabetes. She is experienced in working with those with respiratory conditions and sleep difficulties. Danielle also works with patients to manage stress and anxiety prior to surgery to help optimise surgical outcomes. She also works with conditions such as Functional Neurological Disorder (FND).

Danielle enjoys working with those in the healthcare profession, including doctors and nurses, who experience unique challenges and stress. Therapy for healthcare professionals can be helpful in a proactive way to maintain good mental health, in response to a particular stressor or when symptoms of burnout appear.

Danielle uses a variety of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Schema Therapy and mindfulness-based interventions. Danielle uses a trauma-informed, compassion-focused, neurodiversity-affirming approach.
