Psychology One can assist with the adjustment to or management of:
  • Diabetes (type 1 or type 2)
  • Weight management
  • Preparing for surgery or adjusting after surgery/medical procedure
  • Chronic health concerns including PCOS, cancer, autoimmune diseases, musculoskeletal
  • Pain management
  • Heart disease or stroke
  • Co-occurring depression, anxiety or other psychological issue associated with a physical illness/injury
  • Psycho-oncology
  • Rehabilitation after injury

Weight Loss Psychology

Psychology One uses an evidence-based, non-dieting approach to weight loss with a focus on health and wellbeing. We acknowledge the connection between mental and physical health and enjoy working with clients to achieve their weight loss goals.

Referrals

You don’t need a specific referral to access these services, however if you have a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP you will receive a rebate of the session fee from Medicare. Please talk with your GP to see if you are eligible. If you have private health insurance you can also check with your private health insurer to see if you are eligible for a rebate.
