Clinical Supervision
Founded two decades ago, Psychology One is a well-established private practice made up of experienced clinical psychologists, registered psychologists and a clinical social worker, covering a wide range of specialities and therapy modalities. We see clients across the lifespan, and have clinicians specialising in a range of presenting issues including trauma, health psychology, addiction, neurodiversity, anxiety, depression, and workplace psychology. Therapy models include Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Schema-focussed Therapy and many others. Supervision is a reflective and collaborative process tailored to the specific individual’s stage of career, work setting and interests.

Amanda FletcherAmanda is a Psychology Board of Australia approved supervisor with experience providing supervision to psychologists, clinical psychologists, clinical psychology registrars, provisional psychologists and social workers. She is friendly and engaging, and promotes self-reflective practice, while providing guidance that fosters confident and professional practice. Her supervision approach is collaborative and tailored to the unique learning styles and goals of each supervisee. She is dedicated to creating a supportive and empowering environment where individuals can develop their clinical skills, ethical foundations, and self-awareness. Amanda offers both individual and group clinical supervision. She is able to support early career professionals in meeting registration and endorsement requirements in the 4+2, 5+1, clinical masters and clinical registrar programs, as well as established professionals seeking to enhance their clinical competencies. She has knowledge and experience in evidence-based psychological practice including cognitive behaviour therapy, acceptance-based therapy, compassion-focused therapy, emotion-focused therapy, and DBT skills training. She has experience providing supervision to individuals who work with adult clients with a broad-range of presenting issues, with particular expertise in the areas of perinatal mental health, suicide and self-harm prevention, depression, anxiety and substance use. Beyond clinical skills, Amanda is passionate about helping supervisees develop a well-rounded professional identity. She provides guidance on self-care, work-life balance, building professional networks, and navigating the intricacies of the mental health field. |
Sarah SwansonSarah is a clinical psychologist with over twenty years of experience in working with children and adults with a wide range of presenting issues, with a background in both specialist child and generalist health settings. Sarah enjoys working with children and adults for psychological, parenting, and relationship issues using a number of therapeutic interventions such as acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy, family therapy, EMDR, positive parenting and attachment-based therapies. She has also run the Westmead Feelings Program group over the past couple of years and this program can also be offered individually. Sarah is able to complete cognitive assessments (WPPSI, WISC & WAIS together with adaptive behaviour assessments) and reports to ongoing clients if required, and to new clients when she has capacity. She is also very experienced and passionate about supervision, including supervising Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Clinical Psychologist Registrars, School Counsellors as well as other health professionals. Sarah also works for the University of Newcastle where she teaches and supervises into the Master of Clinical Psychology program, which also includes running an outreach psychology program (with a team of postgraduate clinical psychology students) to a local school. Sarah provides telehealth therapy and supervision sessions on Tuesdays, and comes into the Psychology One office for face-to-face sessions on Wednesdays and one Saturday a month. |
Danielle AdamsDanielle Adams is a Clinical Psychologist and an accredited supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia. Danielle enjoys providing clinical supervision to psychologists and other mental health professionals, and professional supervision to managers and leaders working within the mental health sector. Drawing on over 20 years of clinical practice and 7 years in Senior Management roles, Danielle has an excellent understanding of clinical practice and the systems within which we work. She brings a well-rounded and practical approach to supervision and is committed to providing a safe and supportive space to foster reflective practice, self-care and personal growth. Danielle has worked in a range of adult mental health settings including hospital, community and primary healthcare. Danielle has experience leading both clinical and non-clinical teams in mental health and suicide prevention including one of the country’s leading aftercare support services. In her clinical practice, Danielle employs a range of therapeutic modalities including CBT, ACT and mindfulness-based interventions and works across a broad spectrum of adult mental health presentations. She is currently enjoying her own professional development journey working towards her EMDR accreditation. |
Dr Martina ZanggerGuiding Your Journey: Compassionate Supervision for Social Workers - Experience personal and professional development in a nurturing environment where your unique journey is honoured. - Gain confidence and competence as you explore evidence-based practices, ethical dilemmas, and the art of compassionate care, including self-care and boundary setting. Dr. Martina Zangger has extensive experience in providing supervision to social workers, spanning over two decades. Martina believes in the power of warmth and empathy to foster safety, connection and professional growth. She provides compassionate supervision that understands the joys, challenges and messiness of social work first hand and offers a safe space for reflection, growth, and connection. She is committed to enhancing social workers' therapeutic proficiency by employing empathetic, optimistic, and evidence-based support to supervisees at every stage of their careers. Martina is a Senior Mental Health Social Worker, with a PhD on the topic of sexual assault and the legal system. Using a feminist, holistic and strength-based approach, she employs therapeutic modalities such as EMDR and self-compassion practices, to empower clients on their journeys of recovery from trauma. She has a Master’s Degree in Couple and Family Therapy and is a Specialist Victims of Crime Counsellor with expertise in the provision of trauma-informed therapies for women impacted by domestic and/or sexual violence. Martina is available on a Monday, Thursday and Friday. |
Dr Kathy DynonKathy is a clinical psychologist with seventeen years’ supervision experience supporting a wide range of health professionals from early to late career, and is passionate about providing a safe and gentle space for supervisees to reflect, develop, be challenged, and encouraged. Coming from a predominantly Contextual Behavioural Science approach, Kathy has trained in Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-focussed Therapy (CFT) and Functional Analytic Psychotherapy (FAP) in addition to other cognitive behavioural approaches that are tailored to individual clients and their contexts. Kathy is passionate about career sustainability and ways to maintain and honour the work we do with ongoing learning, reflective practice, and self-care. When not parenting or bushwalking, she is currently working on her EMDR accreditation and is curious about the application of nature-based therapies. |
